Oh Charlie!

Announcement made that CBS has stopped production of "Two and a Half Men" for this season. Oh Charlie...I thought you had your act somewhat together? Are we going to have another Mel Gibson on our hands?

Seriously, I know that being popular is hard, but it seems like more and more celebs are cracking recently..or maybe we just want to focus on them because of all the upheaval in other places in the world.

I also am impatiently waiting for my prize from The Real Art Design Group. If you didn't play The Santa Claw according to their Facebook page, the line is a LOT shorter ;-) If you didn't have a clue that you could play The Santa Claw, well you need to at least go to the page or youtube it because it is quite impressive!

Allure survey

So I got a survey from Allure asking how influenced I am by their approval seals on make-up products. So I'm here to ask you, how influenced are you by the Allure Seal of Approval? I have to say for myself I am more likely to take a look at products that have their Seal especially the Reader's Choice because I know lots of women out there have tried the product and are happy with it. I mean if I'm going to try something typically I try something based on someone else's recommendation. If its a good price I'll be the first to try it, but a lot of times you talk to your friends and you try a new product. I am anxious to see how Garnier's new eye roller will work for me. I know I don't wear a lot of make-up, but I do like being in the know. I did sell Mary Kay Cosmetics for several years so I do know a little somethin' somethin' about make-up.

I am excited because we have almost broken 50 votes! I am so happy that my friends are joining the bandwagon and voting for me/helping me in my race to become America's VP of Pop Culture!

Justin and Jennifer both get haircuts

I have to admit I laughed when Justin Bieber getting a haircut made national news and then Jennifer Aniston turned around and she made news for what? getting her hair cut.

Lilo is in trouble again...are we surprised? Myself? Not really. I really hope that she is able to clean up her act. Lindsey Lohan was such a good actress and I hate to see her totally falling apart.

Lady Gaga approves of fan video. I really like that Lady Gaga approves of her fans who make amazing videos. Its nice to know she can still be "real" with us common folks!

Can I just say how much I LOVE Katy Perry's Fireworks song? I think it has an awesome message, and every time I hear it on the radio I smile.

Grad School class directly relates...

Tonight in Grad School we talked about Cultural Literacy. So many people take for granted how much of our culture is learned as children in school. Often as a teacher and especially as an English as Second Language Teacher we have to teach culture to our students. Being aware of the culture is good, but it is always changing, so one must stay current.

As VP of Pop Culture it is my goal to stay current with Beiber Fever, Brittany's Comeback (if there is one...), Lady Gaga, and Popchips. Stay tuned for more blogs about what's going on in today's world as I try to become VP of Pop Culture!
