Craziness

Things have just been crazy these past couple of months, but I'm going to try to keep up with this better.

Fun things in the mail, I got a Right @ Home package from Glade which was cool. I've also got some thank you gifts, some stuff to try out, etc. Its been fun to go to the mailbox. Speaking of the mailbox this past weekend I went on Saturday to put a piece of mail in and there were like a million ants in the mailbox. I still haven't a clue what would have been in there to attract all the ants, but seriously I got the raid and it took like 15 minutes to clean it out, I was so grossed out.

This week has me making dinner for a friend, so I'm thinking Mexican night. I love to do theme nights.

As far as pop culture, my buddy Ashton is taking over for Charlie Sheen in 2 and 1/2 Men. I am interested to see how they do this. I might even have to go to Mom's to watch it. I mean I agree with canning Sheen, I mean he really messed up, I'm just wondering how they will incorporate a new person, the transition from old to new. Should make for some interesting blogs.

Also saw an article about how much it costs to be Lady Gaga, simple TOO MUCH! LOL

Article on fredericksburg.com

Unfortunately is it past my bedtime and I need to get some beauty sleep, but for anyone out there that did not know this, there was an article on fredericksburg.com about me and my run for VP of Pop Culture. So if you want to learn a little more about me go here.

My friend who was stationed in Japan is back in the US for now, but I am continuing to pray for her Husband who is serving our country by assisting with aid in Japan.

Japan

I just would like everyone to take a moment to pray for all those affected by the Earthquake in Japan. I have some friends stationed over there with the US military and we're hoping they are okay. I also am praying for other other areas like Hawaii that maybe affected by tsunamis.

Voting Ends TONIGHT! (11:59PM PST)

I can't believe that voting ends TONIGHT!! They are choosing 5 finalists and then 1 VP of Pop Culture the week of the March 14th. I am SOOO EXCITED I can't wait! I know I'll do a fantastic job as Vice President of Pop Culture. I want to show the world how much I know about movies, music and entertainment in general.

So this is my last request...if you haven't voted today (haven't voted at all) got HERE to vote for me to become VP of Pop Culture!

Tell your friends!

I never realized how hairy Robin Williams is until I saw a recent picture on Facebook. I was rather surprised to be honest. I still believe Robin Williams is an extremely funny guy. One of my fav movies has to be Mrs. Doubtfire! What a riot! Good message too. I really enjoy movies that are both entertaining and have a message in them.

Charlie Sheen is a mess. I feel for the guy, I hope he gets help. Never seem to know what's going to happen with him and now Rosanne Barr is apparently giving him advice...hmmm wonder how that will work...I loved Rosanne on Rosanne. Funny woman.

Well I will keep updating in the weeks ahead, I'm sure there will be more Charlie news, and maybe some other celebs will break headlines too. Never know around here.

Twitter ad Charlie Sheen

WOW! What a week its been for Pop Culture! Charlie, my man, give it a rest! Seriously you need to go and get some help. But what's his motivation in about 25 hours he got a million followers on Twitter which just says people are listening. I really hope for his sake that he pulls his act together because at the rate he's going he is not going to like the end.

Twitter is an interesting application, I never had any desire to tweet until recently and I'm learning there are ways to get free stuff/win stuff using twitter which one of my favorite words in the English Language is....FREE. I mean with the price of gas, we could all use a little free somethin' somethin'...right?

I will say I enjoy how Facebook and Twitter keep me connected to people all over the world. I mean if you think about this VP of Pop Culture campaign not many people would be able to do it 20 years ago, but now we walk around with the net in our pockets. Most people have smart phones which can pull up the net at any time.

I'm excited because I'm getting closer to 200 votes, I believe this morning I am at 168, but I NEED YOUR HELP! I can't do this alone! So if you haven't please go vote for me to become VP of Pop Culture, you won't be disappointed!

Hog calling...Pop culture??

I was discussing my run for VP of Pop Culture with my cousin who pointed out that both my Parents and he have been named State Hollering Champs. So that begs the question is Hog calling pop culture? I am sad to say probably not, unless Lady Gaga throws her hat into the ring..well them maybe it will be. Hog calling is interesting in the sense that there is a purpose to it, but that there are actual contests to showcase your talent and not just in the Mid-West states!

I saw the Pilot for Mr. Sunshine...can we say Matthew Perry was better on Friends? I have not watched the other episodes I try to give a series 3 tries..good ole baseball 3 strikes and you're out! So I will have to take the time to watch 2 more episodes. The nice thing about the Internet is I don't need TiVo to get some shows!

I hear there is this big show on tomorrow...something about a Golden Man...lol Just kidding! Of course I am well aware that the Oscars are tomorrow on ABC, and that James Franco and Anne Hathaway are going to be the presenters, who can miss their hysterical commercials? My fav is the one where Anne is tackled for a warderobe malfunction..SuperBowl anyone?? lol Which of course if you didn't see or hear about that the commercial is not all that funny, but seriously who didn't hear about it? I mean at the time it seemed to be covered by the media for weeks!

I promise I will watch the Oscars live, and post/tweet and Facebook my reaction to them. I hope you will stay tuned, but don't forget Vote for Me to become VP of Pop Culture

The Ellen Show

Okay if you haven't seen this yet..its TOTALLY worth the watch..."Cut the Chord" I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Ellen DeGeneres, but if you think about it, she really does a lot of good for the community. Look at the auction for Justin Bieber's hair? She raised money for a good cause.

I will admit that this clip had me rolling, especially at the part where she says "I suck at Math!" I had to laugh because we normally would think science, but under the pressure she probably thought of all those Math classes where they had to learn different facts/measurements/etc.

Do you have Oscar fever? I know I've seen lots of stuff all over the media about the upcoming Oscars and I can't wait to see who's the best and worse dressed. Its almost like watching the Super Bowl just for the commercials.

Well its Friday night and I'm going to get caught up on some TV I missed out on this week, but if you haven't voted in the past 24 hours, then please go to my video and vote for me. I'm hoping to break 70 votes by midnight! I am so excited that I have so much support from friends right now in my quest to become Vice President of Pop Culture
